Dirty, smelly, damp and grossly outdated furniture
We booked the place as a wedding anniversary present to each other. Booked just 1 night for £400 on the 30/11/24. We arrived at the hotel only to find out we are on a basement of an annexed building to the hotel. The corridors dirty and damp and the room was a box room with done awful furniture and a very uncomfortable bed. The bath room had broken sink and was so outdated. The place wouldn’t even pass a 1 star B&B rating.
The staff were not friendly nor helpful at all. And the bar shut down at 9.30 pm. The sofas in the main communal area were dirty old and ripped!
We paid £24 for our car’s overnight stay at the hotels car park which we had to fight quite hard to get a spot for it. Only to find out 2 month later that a hefty £120 penalty charge issued to us as the hotel although taking the money but didn’t inform the car park company!
The whole thing was so scandalous and awful and completely ruined our anniversary.
