Holiday Inn Express Taunton M5, Jct. 25

The friendliness and helpfulness of the receptionist was unfaultable, very helpful indeed. However I had a snack from the restaurant in the evening and the food 'Dirty Burger' didn't have any cheeses, maybe my mistake thought there was cheese on a dirty burger but the food was stone cold and the chips were rock hard. VERY disapointing. The floor of the hotel room could have been hoovered better, toe nails on the carpet and a cobweb side of the tv towards the floor.

Very convenient just off the M5. Staff very efficient and helpful. Room was quite small for a family room but it was fine. Breakfast can be taken in restaurant area or taken back to room. Was varied and excellent especially with the restrictions in place. Recommend this hotel and if in the area, I would stay again

A 1970’s type hotel. Much older appearance than other holiday inn’s I have been in recently. Card key for room door needs to inserted into slot however we ended up having to change card key on 3 occasions as stopped working. Told this is because the code gets affected by card being kept by a mobile phone or other credit cards which really isn’t useful. The receptionist was very frosty. Breakfast very limited with pre made baps. However the breakfast server was very hard working and deserve praise for working Hard and keeping smiling despite current COVID situation. Room especially bathroom very dated. No in room safe. Location by M5 but a lot of road works at present . Hotel in midst of Empty business Buildings Area with only a harvester restaurant nearby. Therefore need a car to get around as no public transport.

Stayed here many times and always a perfect location for an overnight business stay, Staff are always warm and welcoming and rooms clean and comfortable

Fab that I could take my 2 dogs with me. Spotlessly clean. Beds and pillows soo comfy! Grab and go breakfast sort of ok, sausage or bacon baps, these were piled high so barely warm, as takes time to queue and pass through.

Much prefer HI Express in Taunton than neighbouring Holiday Inn. You get much friendlier service and more for your money (breakfast included in the price). Rooms are just as comfortable although the bar area is much smaller. Comfortable beds and clean rooms.

Very convenient location just off m5 and clean. However issues as follows. We were put in a room with an adjoining door which means there us virtually no sound protection from next door. We had already been in bed more than 2 hours when our neighbours came home with thier small child and were extremely noisy due to the child being upset. Not their fault as children can be like that but reception should think about putting a family with small children in adjoined rooms like this. I appreciate that the breakfast experience might be a bit different due to covid. But it was extremely disappointing. Only hot food was a large soft bread roll with a little bit of cold bacon inside. Is it not possible to take orders for Cooked breakfast and serve it. I am sure you would have a bain marie in the kitchen to keep food hot. In effect you would be serving buffet style from your kitchen depending on customer orders. Room dated and poor lighting.
