I'll start on a pros: the front desk staff was friendly at check in. The bed was comfortable. The Bearista was friendly. The location was great.
Now the cons: the toilets didn't flush well. The character experience consisted of 1 random character for about 10 min. The arcade was super small and a few games didn't function well. The pool hours were short. Indoor opening at 10am -9pm. The outdoor splash area opened at noon (Great! Check out is 11!) There were 3 firepits lit at night to sit around. When the kids were running around in the courtyard playing tag at night while we sat at the fires, they fell into a huge mud hole!! The splash area has poor drainage and caused all this mud.
We had to *purchase* an extra VR experience. We didn't end up using that night, because it wasnt working until after 6:30 (after the 1 character was done). We didnt want to lose any pool time, so figured we would do it in the morning. Wrong choice!! No one was able to turn it on in the morning, so after 2 trips to the desk, we finally got refunded for the tickets. While at the pool, the hot tub had a bunch of kids in it. When my 12 year old got in, the lifeguard told her she had to get out, she wasnt 16. Understandable. What wasn't was the fact that the other kids were allowed to stay in, making it inconsistent rules and taking up room so that adults couldn't get in.
For a kid friendly hotel, the amount of activities for kids was disappointing. All hype and doesnt deliver.
