Love the stay, and the pub.
I've sit here before and I really do love this place. In general it hits all the right notes and is very affordably priced. The continental breakfast is not amazing, and it's not expensive, but it certainly serviceable.
I think my biggest disappointment with this stay and the reason that it didn't get five stars was my experience in the bar. They have a charming, charming bar on site. This pub is a place where I've gone many times and enjoyed a good drink and a nice cozy atmosphere. It really is a gem nestled into a heavily tourist trap infested area. This quiet little pub sits inside the resort and services resort guests and anybody from the outside who happens to know it's there.
This time around the person behind the bar really didn't know what they were doing. They didn't know how to make drinks. They tried, but it was almost as if somebody from front desk or housekeeping was looking for extra hours and they needed coverage in the bar. It was not run the way that I'm used to and that left me disappointed.
overall I would return here again and plan on it the next time I'm in the area. I'm just hoping that my experience at the pub is a better one because it is well worth checking out.
