Could Be Cleaner
To start off, I think it’s important to note this location does not have elevators. I don’t mind taking the stairs, usually, but I would’ve liked to have known that before I was pushing a cart full of our belongings with two babies in tow. The front desk staff were kind and they switched us to a first floor room without me having to even ask. However, we got into our room (119) and the first thing I noticed was a full bathtub of water and an all but empty roll of toilet paper. I’m talking 4 squares and no artsy fold like housekeeping usually does when they clean a room. Then, there was hair and dust all over the floor, dog and human hair in the MADE bed and on the pillows, some brown substance on the electrical outlets, and the fridge was leaking water everywhere. I went to the desk when I found the water from the fridge. They moved us across the hall to 120. 120 was cleaner, but there were crumbs all in the drawers and the fridge had hair in it. Another thing that struck me odd in both rooms was that the ironing board was just loose, leaning against the wall, right by the front door. That space by the door, and really the rest of the room for that matter, is so narrow that we were constantly bumping into the ironing board and then fighting with it to lean it back against the wall. With the bed linens, I realize that it is a pet friendly hotel, but I don’t want the hair in my linens. You can tell they have tried to update the hotel overall, but it’s lacking in cleanliness.
