Nice getaway
Stay was to attend Hope College Summer shows. Very accommodating for our two dogs with large area to walk them. Room was clean and large enough for 3 adults and 2 dogs. Hotel is in a industrial/agricultural area so scenery was not much but was safe and was quiet at night. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Buffet breakfast was good.

A great hotel
This was our third time staying at the residence in. In upload. This isn't the least expensive hotel in the area, but the free breakfast, free weeknight snacks and friendly staff make up for the few negatives. The cons of this hotel: you're not all that close to either downtown Holland nor the local beaches. You'll have to drive to some of the local restaurants and taverns -- so if you're going to the area specifically to sample the local cal brews and want a place within walking distance you might want to look elsewhere. That said, the free breakfast is GREAT, and you also get an evening snack that may end up counting as a meal on certain nights. You can also enjoy a beer or some wine if you're inclined (though I think they'd do well to partner with a local brewery rather than offering Stella Artois, but I will never complain about something that's complimentary). Getting to downtown or the beach is a snap as long as you don't mind driving a bit. You're also close to a Meijer and right near the interstate for a quick drive to Grand Rapids. The staff is wonderful -- so friendly and helpful that they make you feel right at home. The free breakfast ended at 9 am, but the attendants kept taking care of guests for a solid 20-30 minutes afterwards. We love this hotel and always check their rates when we are planning a trip to the area. While we have stayed in other hotels, none has ever topped the RI for best overall experience.

Our stay was very pleasant. We were there for a swim meet the next morning so I would have loved to stay longer. The hotel staff was very nice and helped in everyway that they could. We would love to stay longer next time and would recommend this hotel again.

Awesome hotel
We stay here whenever we can when we visit our daughter at Hope. Love this hotel. The maids left a used bar of soap in our shower and didn't give us a new bar to use though. Every time there is one think like that that gets missed,
