Courtyard by Marriott Chicago Magnificent Mile

Check-in and check-out was super quick and easy. The location is great.

This was purchased as a gift , it was specifically picked as a room with a view. Its the only reason why we chose this hotel, sad to hear they did not have any view from the room

The communal areas were nice and the room was ok, but there was rust around the bathtub drain, and the wall above the tub was starting to peel away - would not be surprised if there was black mold growing behind there. You need keycards to operate the elevators, but I had trouble getting mine to work all weekend. The concierge was very helpful and provided us with deals and discounts to the local businesses. My biggest issue was with the parking situation. Despite having a garage located in the building, parking was not included with the room as you would expect and there wasn't any discount on rate or validation for being a guest at the hotel: You pay the same amount as anyone off the street - and since you are staying overnight+, that daily parking fee adds up and was a significant additional cost I was not expecting. I had to eventually move my car to a garage down the street that was significantly cheaper. That this was not brought to my attention until check-in made it feel like the whole parking situation was a racket.
