I have never given 3 stars before. Here’s my honest review. Pluses: friendly staff, amazing location, large room with acceptable bathroom, clean. Minuses: WAY TOO overpriced for a basic hotel. I have no problem staying in a two star hotel with no amenities. The hotel is old, but our room was recently redone and was clean. Beds were okay on the comfy scale - not bad, but not great. No art on the wall, old furniture , old area rug on the new pergo floor. Room was noisy with window AC unit, but when we turned it off, it was noisy with Times Square noise. Internet was spotty and slow. Only one of us could get on Wi-Fi, and tv kept buffering. We were looking for something different - something old and historic, but this was just old and simple. For the same price, we could have stayed at a four star hotel in a similar area.
