Loud and unhelpful hotel
The hotel is nice overall. A bit dated but well located and the rooms are a good size.
The issue is both the noise and the way they handle it. If you are in any even number room between 118 to about 130 you can expect to be kept up until 12pm with bar noise and until early morning with night club music.
This is to be expected on some level as it is the heart of Whistler. However the staff act like it’s a surprise when it is raised. There were no earplugs and only after I complained to the maintenance person was any care taken.
I’d be happy to rate them higher if they were proactive. Put earplugs in the room. Put a white noise machine in there. Let people know upon arriving that they can call the noise warden for you. Heck. Go out when the bar is closing and politely ask people to not yell. Do anything proactive and I’d be understanding.
