Apparently, customer service is through email. The young lady at the desk was cordial and handled our check in efficiently. So why did I need an email about checking into the hotel. In fact why did I get five of them? Anyway, nice place on the edge of Main Street and all of the wineries closer to Luckenbach. The breakfast isn’t worth it. Bacon that didn’t get cooked completely. Sausage that had no flavor. Powdered eggs. Discount bagels. Just not worth it. Staff was nice.
About Fredericksburg, big money has taken over the entire area. It’s an alcoholics paradise. Nothing but wineries distilleries and breweries. Not really any arts or activities to do besides drink. Over priced efforts on Texas versions of German food leaves me wanting. No real bratwurst, schnitzel, or any German food.
The German bakery is okay. Service is dependent upon the amount of people in the restaurant. Apparently, their 1 waffle maker broke so no waffles causing frustration for servers and those wanting waffles. . I will say the smoked pork chop breakfast was pretty good.
