Unsafe, Deceptive, and Unacceptable – A True Nightmare
I booked this hotel through Hotels.com expecting a safe and pleasant stay, but what I experienced was deeply alarming. The hotel’s design is baffling and insecure: the elevator opens directly into the room, and the security code for entry is sent via email—a method that is easily hackable. To make matters even worse, upon our arrival we found that the additional entrance door to our room was left open ajar.
In shock, I called Anna immediately. When I asked why the door was open, she curtly explained that it was intentional. I expressed my serious concerns about the elevator’s lack of proper security—as a mother traveling with my child—and she dismissed them with, “We have had this hotel for three years and nothing ever happened,” as if that should be reassuring.
The next morning, I spoke with Anna again. She insisted that their email code method was completely safe, showing a clear lack of understanding about cyber security threats. When I then requested a refund because I refused to stay in a smaller room (which she had nonchalantly offered as a “solution”), she flatly stated that since we booked the hotel, we wouldn’t be refunded for any nights we chose not to stay.
On top of these serious security and service issues, the room itself was subpar. The toilet seat was broken, and a pamphlet in the room absurdly warned that any damage to the towel—even if used to remove makeup—would result in an extra charge. Moreover,
