We’ve been visiting and staying in the Ocean view King rooms for a few years. This year we unexpectedly booked during the Car show weekend (weekend offer Memorial Day.) I checked in on Saturday and we left on Tuesday.
This hotel needs to have better control over their parking lot so they can provide reasonable parking for their paying guests.
Several parking spots were occupied by large containers and large storage trailers; in another instance five spots were taken for one guest and his sideways car trailer. Further, some of the parking spaces are so tight that after I parked my standard F150 other cars parked on each side and I could not access my vehicle doors until the other cars moved. **DOOR DINGS** What’s worse, when we were leaving I found 7 long carpentry nails rolling around on my moonroof, and a couple in the bed of my truck—this is when I was parked in the row at the hotel level below the restaurant.
On another note, the bed in our room was like concrete. I don’t know if they changed the mattresses or this one was just old, but it’s Wednesday and I’m still sore. The beds on the south side of the lobby have always been soft enough with good support.
Overall, the service is good. The views and the location is excellent. The amenities are a bonus.
