On arrival the hotel & reception felt very inviting, but sadly that’s where it ended.
The rooms were okay, cleaned daily but in need of refurbishment. The buffet food was standard for an all-inclusive, though repetitive. The à la carte restaurants were much better—less hectic and more enjoyable.
Disappointingly, there was little daytime activity. We never saw staff by the pool engaging guests or promoting activities.
The pool itself was odd—shallow on one side but dropping to over 3 meters on the other, which may explain the lack of pool games.
The sunbeds were uncomfortable metal mesh; they shifted when you sat and often slipped if they didn’t catch properly.
The best part of the hotel was the staff. The pool bar team were fantastic, always friendly and hardworking, as were those tidying up around the grounds. The main bar staff were equally great, especially a cheerful lady whose name I didn’t catch. Special mention to Simon, the manager, who was always happy to chat. He mentioned a major refurbishment is planned, and if the villa he showed us is any indication, it will be a huge improvement, but no doubt this will affect the pricing
