The desk staff at the hotel are always a delight. However, because it’s been so cold, I phoned the hotel on the Friday before our stay and requested an extra comforter. The agent on the phone said that she would make a note of it for our upcoming stay. However, we did not receive an extra comforter or any mention of it when we checked in. Because I was in Cranbrook for a medical procedure, we didn’t have the time to follow up until check out. The agent was polite and apologized, but that makes me less than confident to request anything ahead of time.
Also, on the first morning that we were at the hotel, we thought that we could save time and partake in the complimentary breakfast. It was terrible! The Hashbrowns and sausage were cold, and we had to get our eggs separately, which meant that the eggs were ready about five minutes later. Also, there was no hot water for tea. A woman had asked the staff person about the hot water, and yet he did not replentish the hot water in the time that we were still there. Next time we will go to Tim’s.
