Duped and didn't stay
I was willing to try something new on my travels and found online what I thought was a quaint inn based on the pictures and description on the website. I felt that I was duped when I pulled into the parking lot at evening time and quickly left to find a room elsewhere. First of all, this is a Motel and yet it advertises as if it's an Inn near the lake. Next, after booking the room I received an email telling me that there is limited parking therefore a $12 parking fee requirement. I didn't like the fact that this was not disclosed on the website, but what was worse is that when I arrived at the admittedly smaller parking lot, I was 1 of 3 cars. There was a very large sign near the lobby about the $12 parking fee with approx. 10-12 open parking spots. Lastly, as a woman traveling alone that night I felt unsafe to check-in as I this was not what I was expecting and immediately drove over to a big chain and got a room for the night.
