We went here for a night and opted to pay for all food (no alcoholic beverages) and non-alcoholic beverages included (juice, water, coffee, tea) in the hotel restaurant. Had breakfast and dinner, definitely recommend to include upfront. I booked this because I goofed with a resort booking.
Alcoholic beverages are very expensive, i.e a Presidente beer is about $6 almost and a small Bailey $5.
Not gauging the wine, but wine is available as of 2-14-23. If they want to fill a bar they will not do it this way in the Dominican Republic.
You have access to a private beach area which will lead to the entire beach (which is always public) and sandwiched between bigger resorts. This place is a great option for more economic minded travelers who want some very nice comfort and also have access to the beach. The private area of where you can have a place to lay on a beach is small and the entire hotel is being upgraded and renewed by a new investor who appeared resident when I was there. Very friendly and helpful staff and apparently a very good cook. My steak was perfectly prepared. It would have been $30 by itself, so include the food is a good option. For them and you.
I would recommend it.
I love Dominican run places and I have good experiences with Boutique type hotels in the DR. Definitely would return, especially when with kids.
