We stayed for 2 nights. Our room was 2 adjoining rooms actually which included a very uncomfortable pull out sofa bed. The fixtures need some repair and updating in the bathrooms, shower water cycles from scalding hot to cold at random. The amenities are slight at this property. There’s water damage on the walls, on of the 3rd floor windows in our room was not double pained like the other two, dangerous as hell IMO. If you have a child with you you have to keep the window locked. Which poses another problem because the rooms are not individually temperature controlled, and if you’re warm like we were this weekend it’s uncomfortable. The box fans are helpful, but are obv very loud which is inconvenient.
The hand operated elevator is cool, but you have to find someone to operate it, otherwise you must use the stairwell, note: not all staff can operate the lift, so if you have luggage good luck to you.
It’s a charming hotel, really. Just not worth the price in our opinion. The hotel manager was nice, the blonde host from the restaurant not so much.
Overall the stay was average/good, but we were expecting more hospitality and better quality based on the reviews.
