Hotel location is by the lake, very scenic and good for weekend getaway, especially during the hairy crab season. However, there are quite a few cons. First the hotel is built cheaply. Walls are thin and everytime someone walks by, we could hear them. The A/C seems to come out of the bathroom so no matter how low I set the thermostat, the room is a bit stuffy but the bathroom is freezing. There is not enough F&B space for the size of the hotel. At breakfast, it is complete chaos. people have to sit out in the hallways. Breakfast food is quite bad so I can't imagine why the previous reviews said breakfast selection is good. The worst part is, while not the hotel's fault, there are just way too many people (and they are loud and inconsiderate). At times, I feel like I'm at a Chinese wet market rather than a resort. I wanted to bring my wife to a resort location near Shanghai for her birthday but it just wasn't that pleasant of experience. The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the staff are generally quite nice and friendly, (even if occassionally I run into a staff who has no idea what's going on).
