Run down hotel double charged me at check out and did not respond to my emails asking for a refund.
At check out the elderly receptionist was confused and could not see that I already pre-paid via hotels.com. So I was forced to pay 680 euro again. The lady promised to check with hotels.com the same day and email me. Now 3 weeks later, I still got no refund. Or any responds. I called 2 times, and emailed with documentation 3 times, only to get the info that she did not get my emails. But after checking her email, she said she got it. Really poor service.
About the hotel I can say:
Pro: charming building, great food and service at the restaurant
Cons: pretty run down past the point of being charming The outdoor needs serious cleaning, and renovation. Great pool, but nothing has been done for many years around the pool and tennis area. Looks like they have given up, and stopped cleaning it. Could have been a great place, but they let is slip
Hope I get my money back.
