I had a very pleasant stay at Auberge Manoir Ville Marie. The staff were helpful, although it’s important to note that they are only available until a certain hour each day. Fortunately, the check-in and check-out process was smooth and done entirely online, which made things convenient. The keyless entry system with a keypad was easy to use, and I appreciated not having to worry about losing keys during my stay.
Although I didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast, it’s available until 10 AM, which is great for those who prefer to sleep in. My room had a single bed and was quite simple—equipped with a small fridge and TV. While not extravagant, it was more than adequate for my needs. The washroom was a highlight, with a strong shower and consistently hot water, making it a relaxing experience.
In terms of location, it’s not too far from Old Montreal—about a 20-minute bike ride or an hour’s walk. The hotel is conveniently located near a bus stop, and there’s a Bixi bike-sharing station around the corner, which made getting around easy. There are also some nice restaurants and coffee shops within a 10-15 minute walk.
Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. While it’s not a luxury hotel, it’s perfect for travelers who are mostly out exploring the city and just need a comfortable place to sleep. For that reason, I’m giving it 4 stars. It’s a great value option for a stay in Montreal.
