There is a reason it was the cheapest thing in the area. It was not terrible, but I would not stay here again. I recommend spending the extra money to stay somewhere nicer. The room was really small, the smallest I think I have ever stayed in with 2 beds. The breakfast had a good spread, but the people serving acted like you where eating their food from their own home, it was very odd. I shipped a small box of items to be there waiting for me (maybe a 12"x12"x12" box) and they charged me a $35 storage fee. I have done this hundreds of times, and this is the first time I have been charged a storage fee for a single box. I understand for a pallet, but not a box this small. Front desk staff was friendly, which is the only reason they are not getting a worse score.
1. Requested room away from elevator and they mentioned they know when checkin. My room was assigned in the basement. RIGHT ACROSS THE ELEVATOR.
2. The elevator is out of service. We are moving heavy luggageâs ourselves with the stairs. No help offered.
3. The basement is extremely humid the first night arrive. When asked to move room, we are ask to pack up all luggageâs, move to lobby and WAIT FOR AVAILABILITY.
4. Breakfast was included. SoâŠsoâŠso I only asked for a cup of tea. SORRY OUR HOTEL DOES NOT OFFER TEA.
5. Bathroom is really dirty that you can see stuff on the sink.
People pick this place as a pre-cruise stay. I would definitely not staying here again with the price. I am so worry I will get sick here. I am giving this place 2 stars that they should be.
Clean and reasonable, but our room was near the entrance and a constant alarm was going off which could be heard from the room. The alarm went off all night and no explanation was given and simply offered ear plugs. Toilet didnât flush properly and then shower tap was extremely loose and difficult to adjust water temp.
Good value for the bucks, especially if you want to do Brooklyn - which is nice and less hysterical than Manhattan.
Just around the hotel the area seems a little sketchy - but we walked to the hotel even at dark with no problem. And across the big road itâs nice neighborhoods and streets. You can walk along Smith street or along the water promenade.
Good breakfast.
a great stay especially for people who know NYC
A little out of the way but if you know your way around trhe area easy buses and subway . The peopel who work there were great
I booked on the 17th of April, asking for a quiet room at the back of the hotel.
The desk agent refused this request, stating that they allocate the rooms the day before. So my requset was ignored.
1st night the parked road service trucks started up around 23.00 hrs, noisy safety reversing sirens dont help sleep. Why refuse a request from the 17 April?
