Given the glowing reviews of service before, I suspect management has changed hands. Service is poor.
1) check out is by 1000 and one is charged every 30 mins for late checkout. Office states open 830-8pm. No one there at 0940, door locked, several of us roaming around trying to figure out how to turn in keys. No drop box. Buzzer for emergency only. Phone calls go to voicemail. We left a message leaving the key in cabin on table.
2) phone call outgoing message is "hello, leave a message". Is this the right number?? Cant tell. They need to have a professional voicemail noting their venue name.
3) they charged me twice for one night stay. Attempts to call ended up w the non discript voicemail. Next contacted Hotels.com. i got chatbot, who sent me to a chat agent, this was accidentally dropped call. Back in queue to bot, agent, then had to call customer service. They called hotel twice with no answer. Boosted up to next level of customer service and call dropped. Attempts to call wont go thru. Issue not resolved yet. I am in a remote area of New Zealand and will need to wait to make more phone calls.
The cabin itself was very clean. AC worked well to cool down the warm afternoon space. Kitchenette satisfactory. Light above bathroom sink is out, cant tell them bc no one at reception and they dont answer calls or have an email.
Be cautious due to service issues.
