I checked in and as per hotel.com notification to my phone, i asked for the vip perk. They had no idea what i was talking about. I had to tell them the 20% off and free upgrade. I was told i was in the top tier room but this was incorrect as there were 2 more tiers on the hotels.com app and both were availabile to book online. the room was very hot. The air con was working. There was a pair of trousers hanging on the door and reception called to ask can thet pick it up. When they knocked i told them how hot it was and he brushed it off and didnt even wait, just walked away while talking to me.
Later when i got back to the room is was still too hot to sleep in. So we called reception again and they told us they would be up in 20 minutes. I called again an hour later and thet sent someone up after 20 minutes.
They finally moved us to a room with working air conditioning at midnight having logged it at 4.30pm.
The new room had a much smaller bed and the mattress was so soft compared to the other room so sleep was not so good. Annoyingly i have booked to go there again in august and regretting my decision. Ill be seeking to cancel if i can
