V bc ad experience
I really was inconvenienced. I booked two queen bed rooms and it wasn’t until I arrived that I was aware that my rooms were not available because of their renovations. The receptionists told me that I had to find another hotel. I told them that they would need to figure out where I was going to stay because they should have contacted me prior to my arrival. I drove for about 4 hours and I experienced a harsh trip. I was not about to give myself more work. One of the receptionists offered a discount because the rooms that I was staying at for the evening was not what I booked. They promised that I would move to my rooms the next day. My guest and I decided that we would stay in the king rooms they gave us because it would be too much to switch rooms the next day. So I asked the receptionists how would my rate change if I were to stay in the king bedroom. She told me of another discount. When they charged my account, they did not give me my full discounts for being inconvenienced and for staying in a king instead of a queen room. It took several back and forth with them to clear that out. I ended up canceling my event that evening because I was too busy going back and forth with them. I returned to this hotel because my prior experiences with them were good. This experience was a nightmare.
