Good proximity to Algonquin Park. Patrick at desk very friendly and helpful. Room large and comfortable. View and sitting area at the lake very nice. Canoes available at no cost. Good value
Verouderde inrichting kamer. Airco was niet te bedienen. Display dood. Bij ontvangst matige informatie. Wachtwoord WiFi klopte niet. Internet matig. Restaurant gesloten, zelfs geen mogelijkheid voor ontbijt. Verwezen naar Bakery die gesloten was.
We had a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again. The room was clean and had a great view. The property is very cute and we loved the seating areas by the water.
The owners were wonderful and helpful.
It was a really good experience to stay at this hotel. It is not that big but has almost everything for families those which are really enough. I enjoyed barbecuing, night fire, beach activities, and taking a rest in the yard and the room. Also, the hosts are really nice and friendly. It was a perfect experience for me and my son. Thank you!
Iâve stayed at most of the hotels along Highway 60, including Deerhurst and Hidden Valley.
Spring Lake is my favourite. Small, boutique-type hotel with immaculate gardens, an ideal pristine lake, and a devoted family running the place.
Fantastic all around. Looking forward to when Covid is over and the restaurant re-opens...it is also fantastic!
This is a low-key family run resort. The suite was perfect for us. The rooms were in good shape. I liked that the resort is located on a small lake with no boat traffic. It is right on HWY 60 so there is some background traffic noise, but it wasn't too bad. The supplied kayaks, canoes and SUP were enjoyed by both the kids and adults. The sandy beach does get deep pretty quickly so keep little ones within arms-reach. Huntsville, Dorset and Algonquin Park are all short drives away. I would definitely stay there again.
Very clean. Easy to use A/C thermostat. Staff were very polite and friendly on check-in and responded very quickly and efficiently to our request for more towels and bathroom supplies.
Down side was that guests are allowed to smoke in front of their rooms on the one long undivided balcony that ran in front of the rooms. I was really bothered by the second hand smoke wafting into the room from both the balcony and the grounds below.
The other major problem is very high iron content in the water, which stains the tub and all the linens orange. It also tastes unpleasant and my hair and nails are stained reddish-orange from only a one week stay, even though we were only there at night and first thing in the morning. (We were in the park the rest of the time.)
The room was perfect for our purposes and so clean! Such a shame that the smoking and the high iron water kind of spoiled our stay there.
Spring Lake Resort is a lovely retreat. The gardens and pristine beach complete with canoes and kayaks made our visit most enjoyable. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this family run resort!
