The owner/manager Derek is a buzzkill for our family new year Wanaka holiday.
We total had 4 time of communications. During check-in, he obviously show his unhappiness about our booking is through hotel.com and 'big commission cut'.
Then on the first day we stay, he just rudely walked in my room without knocking and greeting two times, for example say hello, afternoon, excuse me etc, lecture us straight away. To be honest, it is significant offence for our privacy and showing no respect at all.
On the second day, I got knocking from Derek on 11:00 pm regarding our TV noise. Actually, our TV volume is 14 out of 100, we just barely heard it. The next day, I try to explain it to him, he disregard it and insist our TV noise affect our neighbours. Then I check with our neighbours. Neighbours reply us that they didn't complain our TV noise. I am lost. What Derek manufactured this drama for? Happily ruin his pay customer holiday!
I am in Tourism Industry near 20 years. I have experienced near all 4 star and above Hotels and plenty of Motels in New Zealand. Derek's service is the worst so far.
From my point of view, Derek take his unhappiness regarding booking agent commission cut on our family Wanaka new year holiday.
