I had a very disappointing experience at the Emerson Inn in Jacksonville. Upon arriving late for check-in due to a family emergency—a death in my family—I was met with unprofessional and disrespectful behavior from a staff member (possibly the owner).
The staff member was visibly frustrated, shaking his head in his hands, and even raised his voice at me. He also claimed there was no room available and attempted to sell my reservation to someone else. This was incredibly upsetting given the circumstances, and I felt humiliated and unwelcome throughout the interaction.
I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. If you’re considering staying here, I suggest looking elsewhere for a more accommodating and professional experience.
