The room was confortable and brand new but I was really disappointed as I was outside freezing under the rain waiting for a front door entry code because the hotel didn't have a front desk (like advertised). It was a "Self check-in". It took around 20 minutes to get in. At first they've sent me the wrong code. No front desk, the lobby was a mess. At least the room was good and the hot water was good. Other than that, it looked like an abandoned hotel.
In addition to that, I was in Reykjavik just on business and I wouldn't recommend it as a travel destination. There is literally nothing special over there. Too much effort to see the Northern Lights. People are not friendly, everyone in a bad mood, poor service, everything absolutely expensive. Iceland is a horrible destination.
