In the dark evening, we were shocked to see two persons climb from the ground level to the outside corridor, using a tree and climbing over the railings (instead of using the stairs!) and did not know who they were or if their intent was attacking or robbing rooms situated upstairs, including ours. It was close to 9pm and the front desk was ready to close for the day and go home. The lady at the front desk called the manager/owner (?) of the property. We were told over the phone by that manager/owner, that if we were unhappy with the situation, we could 1) leave the motel (at night with nowhere to go after prepaying over $430 for our two nights!) or, 2) call the police! As it was, these individuals were also staying at the property, in two rooms a few doors down from us, and were probably drunk. It was not our responsibility to call the police, that is the job of the innkeeper, as well as controlling the actions of its guests. We were only the messenger! We were shocked at the lack of action from that manager/owner who did not seem to care about his guests safety. Even after all the safety issues this Country is constantly faced with,it is incredible to find a business owner who seemed like he could not care less about the situation and left it to older (we are both in oiur 80's) guests to complain or call the police!
We will not stay there again and advise all potential guests to be aware of the manager/owner lack of response regarding his guests behavior.
