I have never been so disgusted with the customer service as I was at this lodge. I booked my lodge in August for September stay. I received 2 emails several days before my stay. One said contact within 24 hours, due to an issue with payment. An HOUR later there was an email that said we’re sorry to hear you canceled your stay…. I do NOT. When I called that night, as soon a I saw this (two different times) both gentleman were of no help. One said it will be fine, the other didn’t want to give me the direct number and managers name for my follow up call in the morning. Totally apathetic to the fact I would be out of a place to stay, or that the two emails didn’t make sense coming an hour within each other. When I called the next day, the manager (different from who they told me) was apathetic as well. She said they’d been calling me since July because of the problem. I had received NO CALLS, NO OTHER EMAILS, and I booked in AUGUST!! Since then, I’ve heard the lodge is pretty old and run down. I would avoid. I DID however have a wonderful stay at Carribou Highlands Lodge due. The road and would highly recommend! Great customer service, advice on where to hike/check out Northern Lights, etc AND even ran out to catch our car with a bottle of wine, hearing I was there for my 50th birthday! …unaware of anything I’d been through with the other lodge.
