Heritance Negombo - Level 1 Safe and Secure

Very nice room. Only complaint would be the desk looked run down, with many marks on it, could use new paint.

The property reminded me of Bali. Very exotic decor. Warm service.

From the street the Heritance Negombo looks more like a school, a hospital or some other public building. Luckily the beach side look of the hotel is much better. We liked the lobby which is bright and inviting, the main restaurant downstairs which was lovely and seemed to have an excellent selection of dishes, and the pool area which is lovely and very inviting: easy access to the pool, ideal temperature of the water, swim-up bar, good depth for swimming and a nice location. The things we didn't like so much was the pool access from the ground floor- you need to go down steps and up more steps to get to the pool. As I have arthritis I find steps quite difficult so we ended up walking through the restaurant to get to the pool! The rooms are quite trendy and quirky but not totally comfortable. The bathroom area has no door, the water closet is off on its own near the entrance door and the main problem, there was only one outlet in the whole room where we could plug in our laptop or other devices. The other outlets are the square three-prong type that is common in Sri Lanka. Surely a hotel like the Heritance could be a bit more forward-looking and put in some more outlets for devices. The one outlet was on one side of the bed, so not ideal for working on the laptop. There is a sort of vanity area with a stool and very poor lighting, but it too only had a large 3 prong outlet. There was a device where you could plug in USBs but it seemed a bit useless.

Absolutly perfect, from the check-in until the check out.we receive the full attention about our request.

Stayed three nights and enjoyed our upgrade . Overlooking the pool and beach - room was perfect for our needs - not massive and the galley style bathroom area is cramped with two people using it at the same time . Otherwise a great stay . Loved the breakfast selections - staff very happy to explain all the “new” foods . All the staff were friendly and helpful . Great having the pool to cool off in during the middle of the day . Good location to stroll around and explore a little On foot

I liked the pool and access to the beach. Security was always present so I felt safe as well. I wish yhey had better food offerings.

Food, Cleanliness and friendly staff I liked. Gym opened only at 6.00AM but I preferred to go there at 4.30 AM.
