My stay at this hotel was far from pleasant. Check in was an immediate red flag as two employees were actively arguing at the front desk when we arrived. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. When we asked if the hotel could store two suitcases we wouldn’t need until after check out, the same two employees continued their disagreement. One of them, particularly aggressive, started interrogating us about the bags and what was inside, why we wanted to store them, and even asked if he could search us. The other employee, clearly confused and trying to help, ended up storing them despite the tension. We were then told we would not be allowed to access the bags until after check out, which was a very unusual and unwelcoming policy.
Things didn’t improve during the stay. On the second day, I simply asked for one extra pillow. The same hostile employee from check in suddenly appeared from behind a curtain and bluntly told us that each guest is only allowed one pillow, no exceptions. Denying a basic comfort like an extra pillow is, frankly, baffling and reflects very poor service.
As if that wasn’t enough, the elevator was out of service the next day and we were staying on the 12th floor. No apology, no offer of assistance, no alternative accommodations, nothing. Climbing 12 flights of stairs multiple times a day was exhausting and unacceptable for a hotel stay.
For what it’s worth, check out was simple and quick, but that’s the only positive.
