Property seems left to “wear out”. No maintenance has been performed for quite some time.

No check-in staff present as you needed to text any issues/needs. Saddly the place was clearly not being maintained properly. WiFi was totally unreliable. Overall , a poor value accommodation. On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable. (As a child, it was one of my desire to spend a night at this cool looking motel - unfortunately it appears I'm 40 years too late)

Les photos de l'hôtel date d'il y a très longtemps. Dans la salle de bain la peinture est décollée. Le frigo ne fonctionne pas. Ils affichent le menu d'un restaurant qui n'existe plus. Le lit est confortable mais il n'y a pas de couvre-matelas, lorsque le drap se déplace pendant la nuit on dors sur le matelas! La main courante de l'escalier est pourrie et dangereuse. C'est bien éclairé et il y a de l'eau chaude. Vraiment trop cher pour la qualité.

No one available to greet us (key was in the door and phone number left to reach clerk but no answer), no A/C, old and shoddy place,

The management was not on place and there were people making a lot of noise around, but nobody asked them to calm down. The hotel bathroom was not clean enough - spider webs everywhere, dust on the tables, etc. The yard looked very abandoned - with debris around, a broken fireplace, a lot of garbage around, broken chairs outside, etc. We never received our bill - there was a note on the reception door that the key is waiting for us on the room's door and that the bill is inside the room. We never found it. it was neither sent to us by e-mail. We do not recommend this place for stay.

Simple motel as I was looking for, clean, few minutes walking to Wakefield shops and restaurants, quiet, no road noise, decent price.

Nice comfy room and beds. Inn close to everything...

Our room was clean and comfortable. It is an older property so there were some cosmetic things that could be improved but that was to be expected. Overall, we liked the vibe of the place. Nice balcony. We would return.

Although it's a quirky motel, and the owners were nice and helpful, there were quite a few issues. It's an extremely rundown motel. Our TV cable didn't work so they nicely moved us to another room where the screen door to the balcony was rotting and fell off, the drain to the bathroom sink literally flooded water out every time it ran. The hotwater disappeared in the shower. What made me the most uncomfortable was that during Covid there was only a loose sheet, not a fitted sheet nor mattress cover, over the mattress so we were often sleeping directly on the mattress. Some people live in their rooms permanently so we had smells of cigarettes and cooking coming in from the balcony. The cost was high for all these issues.

The manager was nice, and the room was spacious and very clean. Nice quiet area close to beautiful Wakefield, and a balcony. However, the TV didnt work, and there was no air conditiining and no coffee maker.
