We stayed in a spacious apartment in the charming village of Salema, with two bedrooms and a breathtaking beach view from both the terrace and living room. The village is quaint, quiet during the winter, and has a stunning nearby beach. The locals were very friendly, and some restaurants were truly excellent.
However, there were a few drawbacks. The hot water in the shower ran out quickly, and the walls between apartments were so thin we could hear our neighbors talking and snoring. Additionally, the reception was unavailable during our stay before New Year’s Eve, leaving only an emergency number that unfortunately went unanswered during a critical situation. This forced us to organize a hospital trip ourselves, which caused unnecessary delays, though thankfully the hospital staff were able to help.
While we enjoyed the overall experience, ensuring the emergency service is more reliable would greatly improve the stay.
