First things first, poor planning on my part and not understanding the geography of the island. This hotel is in Castries and a lot of the more toruist centered activities are in Soufriere. These cities are an hour away on some very curvy roads, so don't make the mistake I did!
The hotel did look very nice and had a nice view of the ocean, but I think the best part of the hotel was the staff. Everyone was so friendly and willing to help. They were even completely understanding when we left only after a night, though we wish we could've gotten a partial refund
Cons:
-Hotel room was alright, very spacious, but kind of felt run down. The room smelled like mildew, the entire shower had some sort of film of grime on it. We got a king room, but it was just 2 twin mattresses put together
-Another first time international traveler mistake: The room had no outlets for US. The hotel did give us one, but in a tech centered world, it's hard to keep devices charged when you have to rotate out chargers
-Finally the worst thing was the food. Pizza from the snack bar was good, but the buffet was terrible, which is bad considering it's kind of the main food choice. The food was bland at best, but overall not good. Dinner started at 630 and we got there 15 minutes after but the food tasted like it had been sitting there for hours
-The night we stayed, they had karoke at the rooftop bar. It went on pretty late at night and we could hear it clearly, but our room wasn't that close to it
