Old Hawaiian B and B

We were here in October 2018, and it was wonderful. Beautifully presented, home-made, delicious breakfasts. Spotless cleanliness throughout. Super comfortable bed. Friendly gracious hostess. Great location in a beautiful quiet neighborhood. Even a happy friendly welcoming dog! Walk to a state park with a scenic overlook, a trail to Rainbow Falls from the backyard (which was beautiful, too). It was totally relaxing and peaceful place to stay, and we would recommend the Old Hawaiian B & B to anyone and everyone.

The place was clean w/ comfortable beds. Neighborhood was fine. Hosts were delightful. Breakfasts were good, but full of sugar, which as a diabetic, I am not supposed to eat. Kept forgetting to tell Laura ahead of time, so I ate lightly of what was given. Also, shower needs a grab-bar & better window curtain for privacy.

This B&B is beautiful, the room clean and cheerful, but it is not set up for the guest's comfort. No hooks for wet jackets (it rained the entire time we were there), no shelves for personal items (0nly the floor - even the extra bedding was on the closet floor - there was a bureau in the closet). The description should make it clear that it is a continental breakfast every morning, albeit a very nice one with freshly baked goods and fresh fruit, packaged yogurt and a hard boiled egg - and it was the same each day with the baked goods somewhat varying. Also, if the weather had been nice, eating on the lanai would have been a pleasure but as it was, we were all cold and damp. A small heater in the rooms would have been nice to take a shower with or to take the chill off in the morning. I would have so appreciated a small refrigerator and microwave in the rooms as going out into the rain to make a cup of tea in the wee hours of the morning was uncomfortable. Lori was gracious and hospitable but it was the other Laurie who spontaneously gave us places to explore and was like a ray of sunshine whenever we saw her. The grounds are magnificent.

Excellent people and most pleasant facilities and location.

The host was very welcoming and friendly. The location was perfect for us.
