Unimpressed by luxury apartments
When we arrived we discovered that there were no instructions supplied for any of the appliances. This is dangerous.
We worked out how to use the oven by ourselves but we could not make the hob work at all. On Googling the issue (which we had to do as there were no instructions supplied) it appeared that the hob only worked on with certain types of saucepan. Fortunately we were able to use the microwave for cooking our beans.
There was no oven glove supplied either; so we had to use a folded tea-towel to retrieve our hot meal from the oven. This is extremely dangerous.
The bathroom is a death-trap. The toilet is crammed into the corner with so little room between it and the wall-heater that you have to sit on it at right angles to use it. My husband had to stand at right angles to it to use it. The shower is a lot higher than the floor and there is no grab handle. Also there is no way to keep the water running unless you keep one finger jammed on the on button; which makes having a shower a very long and rather inefficient process.
Our daughter tried having a shower at bed time on the Saturday night (about 10.00) and there was no hot water at all: so not only did she have to keep her finger jammed on the button to keep the water running, it was freezing cold.
Considering that these were supposed to be luxury apartments and we paid a lot of money for 2 nights we were extremely unimpressed. We have had better stays in budget hotels.
