I strongly recommend staying in Hotel Libertas. Everything is meticulously maintained from hotel amenities, service to the interiors! The view from the window is just breathtaking, something worth dying for. The staff is very professional and helpful. The breakfast is homemade of authenticity and sincerity by a very nice local lady. Personally, I feel like living in a castle and being treated as a queen. The building has a history of 300 years old but it was recently renovated in absolutely beautiful and artistic fashion with the touch of locality and characters. I would say this is above 5 star rating and more like a high end boutique hotel. The only potential drawback is that the hotel is situated on the other side of the bay, which is opposite to the old town. However, getting a taxi for a less than 10 mins ride (5-7 euros) to the old town is a perfect solution for it. It remains the advantage of being private, quite, peaceful and also not inconvenient. The hotel was the highlight of my visit to Kotor.
