Not an 8+ hotel for me, more a 6+ motel
Let's start with the fact that we were ready to move to another hotel after the first day... we ended up staying to save on costs but we will not return to this hotel. First impression: it looks like a motel, smells like a motel, dated like a motel... the rooms are small, beds uncomfortable, have the old-house smell and dark because you cannot open the shades unless you want everybody walking by to see inside. They still give the tiny toiletry bottles (one for a family, for several days - if you need more, you have to keep asking housekeeping) instead of having the more environmentally-friendly refillable ones. The towels are tiny and thin (old) but at leas we got the right amount. The laundry on site was a big plus, and the location was not too bad either. Housekeeping/maintenance staff was nice. My advice is to pay a little extra (or wait until last minute to book) and get a better hotel for the same or lower price.
