DO NOT use HOTELS.COM.
We have been using them for YEARS and had a few issues we were willing to look over. But this is the last straw.
We booked (2) rooms back in October for a December stay. Realized in November we wouldn't need them and canceled. Just went into the bank account and they charged us for the rooms. It took forever to connect to customer service only to be told they had no record of cancelation. We were never sent an email, so they won't provide a refund. If you do use them, be sure to keep your receipts. We had a similar issue years ago trying to get a refund on a very dirty, scary looking room we had reserved. Stained carpet, broken lock, broken mirror, missing lamp shade and even with pictures we had to fight the hotel for a refund with no help from HOTELS.COM. Just book directly with the hotels. Its well worth the extra $10-20.
