The Ritz Carlton Santiago presents significant operational deficiencies that undermine its potential as a high-standard hotel.
Key Issues Identified:
1. Bathroom Maintenance and Safety Hazards: Persistent flooding in the bathroom, reported multiple times and acknowledged by the on-duty manager, remains unresolved. The situation led to a near-accident when I slipped due to the water accumulation and almost hit my head on the floor, posing a serious risk of traumatic brain injury.
2. Internet Connectivity: Internet speed is insufficient for basic work or streaming, compromising its suitability for business travelers.
3. Entertainment Technology: The rooms do not feature Smart TVs, and guests are provided with a cable to connect their personal devices. However, the poor internet quality renders streaming platforms unusable.
4. Service Quality: Despite staying in the exclusive Club Lounge, the service lacks the personalization and attention expected at this level.
Positive Note:
The breakfast service is a highlight, with well-trained and attentive staff ensuring an excellent dining experience.
Conclusion:
The hotel requires immediate improvements in maintenance, infrastructure, and service management to meet the standards expected by discerning travelers. In its current state, it fails to adequately serve its target market.
