Can improve when not using Bonvoy app
Over 9nights (4-5stays) within 4.5months. Special acknowledgment and thank you to head concierge X who I had met on my very first stay and later all staff, DMs, FO, F&B, in room dining, housekeepers and concierge.
1) If you hold Bonvoy elite membership with status, my recommendation is to go via Bonvoy. System will not pick up your status despite having Expedia Gold status many years. I had to make requests and follow up directly with hotel. Expedia Gold slightly more expensive. Marriott group definitely isn't a preferred Expedia partner.
2) Was upgraded however room door couldn't lock. This was totally not expected of any 4-5star hotel or my luck to be assigned this room. Please kindly rectify with carpenter. I could still use the latch.
3) Old existing construction built limitation. With the shower/bathtub combination - my first stay and this stay, water when showering will always spill onto the marble tiles. Not safe for elderly and even with slippers provided can slip if unmindful. Always use floor towel.
Housekeeping is forever changing new floor towels unnecessary hence water wastage & not environmental friendly.
Questionable solution - extended flip doors however management will have to weigh out cost versus # of rooms & clientele.
A side installed Grab bar to get on/off the shower tub with installed bathtub has a grip (no need for rubber mats). Excellent.
3) Vast selection for breakfast. Usual for my hotel picks. Excellent.
