Breakfast fantastic! Sunday morning staff great! Guy working with Muhammad and Muhammad himself excellent!
My husband and I recently spent two nights at the NH Collection Brussels Grand Sablon, and unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this hotel fell far short of our expectations.
Check-in was TRASH! Staff was impersonal and unattentive. They seemed disinterested, providing minimal information and displaying a distinct lack of warmth. We had booked a junior suite, anticipating a pleasant view, but were instead assigned a room on the first floor that looked directly out onto the flagpoles. To say it was a "view" is an extreme overstatement; it was utterly dismal, especially for a two-night stay. Also the room needed maintenance!
The staff's general demeanor was consistently off-putting throughout our stay. Instead of offering a welcoming greeting, they often simply stared, creating an uncomfortable and unwelcoming environment. This lack of basic courtesy was unacceptable for a hotel of this supposed caliber.
Furthermore, our experience at the bar was equally disappointing. We ordered drinks, and not once were we offered water. And the drinks were bad. The bartenders did not engage with us, making us feel completely ignored. We chose not to order a second round due to the complete lack of interaction and hospitality.
In summary, could've been better. Won't be back.
