Hotel was OK
The hotel was okay, not much to write home about. Several members of the staff looked like they couldn’t be bothered to be there! Two of them were quite surly and rude. They could take a leaf out of the Uni staff who are working there. They were great fun, friendly, and helpful.
There was no water or fridge in the room due to company policy, but you can buy water from the bar at £4.50 per large bottle. The rooms are tired and in need of an update. There are two USB ports at the side of the bed, which was very comfy.
Don’t come here expecting an Uber, and if you need a taxi to take you anywhere, book it 40 minutes in advance as most come from Stirling.
If you come on the train and decide to walk to the hotel, which is circa 20 minutes, it is mostly uphill on a steady gradient. Then the killer part is the uphill walk from the road to the hotel reception.
