Stayed there last night. The lady on checkin was lovely, and just what you like to see at a motel/hotel. I was even given an upgrade. However, if my room was upgraded I would hate to have seen what my original room looked like. To say the place is rundown is a major understatement, all over the place the old wallpaper is popping, cracked, and in places has big gaping holes in it. The towels are so worn they are fraying. There were small ants all over the bench tops in the bathroom and main area. The shower toiletries looked like they hadn't been touched in many years, the liquid conditioner had a cream on top with clear liquid under it (think icecream spider!). At the end of the day it's a pub with accommodation attached so if beer is your primary motivator then this is the place for you (perhaps so you don't drive home drunk!), but if I were you I'd spend a bit a bit more.
