I stayed here for a weekend getaway in October and had a lovely time. I actually booked through Hotels.com, which saved me a few hundred dollars but was still very pricey. I love staying in SoHo, though, and you pay for that.
This hotel is definitely starting to show its age and the room is due for a renovation. That said, it was a very thoughtfully designed space, with multiple outdoor levels at the bottom and a great rooftop bar.
We stayed in a slightly upgraded room that had a skyline view of FiDi, which I really enjoyed. I also like the layout of the bathroom, which had a very large rain shower.
The staff was friendly and they were quick to bring ice to the room. Housekeeping freshened up during the day and provided new towels. However, the internet said it was five stars when this was really four star service.
You can’t beat the location and the proximity to the Canal St subway stop. I would return!
