Dear Expedia Support,
I am writing to formally request a refund regarding a recent booking that did not meet the agreed standards and was significantly misrepresented.
Upon arrival, we were informed that the room we had originally booked was unavailable. Instead, we were offered a different room at a reduced price (from $160 to $135). However, this replacement room was of substantially lower quality and did not match the listing we selected at the time of booking.
The conditions of the room were unacceptable:
- The room was extremely cold, and the provided heater was ineffective and excessively noisy, making it impossible to sleep.
- We were forced to sleep in our clothes due to the low temperature.
- The sleeping arrangements were inadequate, including uncomfortable mattresses and a fold-out bed that appeared to be assembled from broken furniture.
- The bed was placed directly next to a drafty window, causing continuous cold airflow.
- There was a strong cigarette odor in the room, indicating it had not been properly cleaned or ventilated.
- The space was overcrowded with furniture (including a refrigerator), leaving almost no room to move.
- While it initially appeared clean, the room was in fact cluttered and poorly maintained upon closer inspection.
After a long journey, we expected basic comfort, including warmth and proper sleeping conditions. Instead, the stay caused significant discomfort and inconvenience.
This situation constitutes a clear case of misrepresenta
