I would not recommend The StayCozy Hotel. While the location is convenient, the accommodations and level of service do not justify the price.
The lack of available staff significantly affected our stay. Most concerning was the hotel’s failure to accommodate my physical disability. I requested a shower chair twice, but neither request was addressed. There was also no readily available staff member to contact when problems arose.
The guests in the neighboring room were extremely loud, frequently yelling during phone conversations, and smoking marijuana. The odor traveled through the ventilation system into our room. With no staff available, there was no way to resolve the disturbance.
Although the room was clean, it was poorly maintained and appeared to be undergoing renovation. Paint was splattered on the floors and baseboards, the fitted sheet repeatedly came off the mattress, and the bathroom had several loose ceiling tiles. Most concerning, the toilet was not securely attached to the floor and moved when someone sat down or stood up, creating a significant safety concern given my disability and balance limitations.
Other disappointments included having to empty our own trash, limited coffee supplies, and political material left in the room.
Overall, the hotel fell well short of expectations. The lack of staffing, failure to address a disability-related accommodation request, unresolved disturbances, and maintenance and safety issues made for a very disappointing experience
