Location is great, near a monorail station and on kokusaidori, the staff is great, friendly and helpful, but the hotel is aging and having problems. The doorknob fell off when I went to open it to go out. Heater takes 5-7 hours to heat up and start blowing, in both rooms I had. AFter the doorknob failue, had to pack up and move to a new room at 11 pm. Turned on the heater, and when I woke up at 4:43 am freezing to use the bathroom it still hadn't started heating. Somehow I went back to sleep and some time later it finally did start blowing. 6 or 7 hours to start heating the room is just unacceptable.
I used the coin laundry, and wasted time and money on the right hand dryer which wasn't getting very warm. Switched to the left hand dryer and it heated up. Curtains were not blackout at all, just kind of a suggestion. When I checked out I looked under the bed to see if I dropped anything and was stunned to see how much piled up dust there. Breakfast good, drinking water machine in lobby good, and instead of all those different shampoos to choose from, preferred to have moisturizing lotion. Pillows were both really thick and hard and I had neckaches every morning. Wish one was thin.
