My stay was short but the Greatest Ever! I was there because my daughter had surgery at Northwestern, and complications developed just afterward because of Fear for my child and not being able to drive at night. I searched for a place to stay. I found this place on Hotels.com. The price was unbelievable! And one the Mag-Mile. I quickly reserved the room for that night and checked out the next day.
Along with the extra fee to keep the room because I did not know when she was going to my stable to leave her. By the time I was able to get to the hotel, it was some hours late in the evening. The same day I reserved, so before midnight,
I went to the check, and the very nice young man told me my reservation for the following day and check out the day after.
The desk clerk suggested I call Hotel.com and see what happened and what they could do. I explained to the agent everything. The system must have changed since I made the reservation late evening. He tells me I signed up for check-in the next night. I reminded him; No, I made reservations for tonight, checking and out tomorrow morning. I'm in a wheelchair, and I live in Wisconsin. I will not make a reservation for the next day, knowing I'll go home in the morning. I need a place to stay tonight. He checked and told me they had a room but not the one I signed up for, which would cost $35 more.
